Obituary of Mary Beth Wiegand

With great sadness, the family of Mary Beth Wiegand announce her passing on Thursday, February 1, 2018 after a courageous battle with cancer.  She was 78.

Devoted wife of Bruce, dear sister to Stuart (Jean) Hatch and loving mother of Robert (Jeanette), Heather (Jan) and Cameron.  She will be fondly remembered by numerous nieces, nephews, precious grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as many friends and extended family.

Predeceased by her parents James and Hope Hatch.

Mary Beth was a kind, compassionate lady who enjoyed socializing with family and friends.  She was an active member of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in Kitchener and their Women’s Missionary Society.  She was also actively involved in Women’s Probus.  Mary Beth enjoyed travelling and had the opportunity to see many fascinating places.

Visitation will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Tuesday, February 6 from 1-4 p.m.  The funeral service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at 11 a.m.  A reception will immediately follow in the funeral home’s Fireside Room.  Interment will take place at Mount Hope Cemetery, Kitchener.
