Obituary of Thomas Clive Rand

At Trinity Village, Kitchener on Saturday, February 17, 2018, age 89 years with family by his side.  He was a resident of Waterloo and formerly of Pointe Claire, Quebec.

Predeceased by his wife, Joanne, dear father of Susan and her husband Ian Schrauf of Dover, Vermont, Brian of Oakville, Stephen and his wife Sheila of Cornwall and Alan and his late wife Lydia of Kitchener.  He will be missed by his cherished friend, Enid Maize of Aurora.  He is also lovingly remembered by thirteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. Dearest brother to Kathleen (Dede) Sheppard of Mississauga.

He was predeceased by brothers, Kenneth and Eric, formerly of Montreal, Quebec and his parents, Reginald Clive Rand and Norah Rand.

Tom was a masterful harmonica musician and proficient with the squeeze box and spoons as well. He exuded happiness throughout his life to all those around him, right up to the end.

Tom’s family will receive friends and family at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo on Saturday, February 24, 2018 from 4 to 6 p.m.  A memorial service will occur upon interment in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in July, 2018.
