Kathryn Wiggins

Obituary of Kathryn Gayle McLennan Wiggins

Passed away Monday March 5, 2018 at her new home of Waterloo, after living in North Bay over 50 years.  Kathryn was filled with joy as she celebrated her 100th birthday last June, surrounded by friends and family.

Beloved wife of the late William (Bill) Wiggins (1981).  Loving mother of Bruce (Wendy) Wiggins, of Mindemoya and Val (the late Richard) Laidlaw, of Waterloo. Cherished grandmother of Angelique (Joe) Hardy, David Wiggins, Tristan (Adrienne) Wiggins, Ashleigh Wiggins (Scott Laidlaw) and Kaitlin Laidlaw (Sean Wright); great-grandmother of Ashlynn and Joshua Hardy, Alexander Wiggins and Alice Wright.

Predeceased by her parents Alexander and Ellen Mackie, and brothers Bruce and Alan Mackie.

Kathryn had an immense love for her family and her wonderful friends, and was always concerned about the wellbeing of others. She volunteered at the North Bay Civic Hospital for over 20 years, and received a 25 yr. volunteer pin from the Canadian Cancer Society.  Kathryn was exceedingly well read and always up on world events.  She loved bridge, crosswords and Canada, and took great delight in the beauty of the earth, the colourful fall leaves, and especially the moon.

Cremation has taken place; the family will have a private celebration of life.

Condolences for the family and donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or other Charity may be arranged through the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street S. Waterloo at www.erbgood.com or 519-745-8445.
