Obituary of Doris Emma Leland (Ellerker)

Passed away peacefully at Heritage House, St. Jacobs on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at the age of 88 years.

Loving mother of Reg and his wife Paula, and Jerry.  Special grandmother of Joanne, Bernadette, Matthew, Jason and Joe.

Predeceased by beloved husband Edwin, brother Roy (Margaret), sisters Leah Kinzie (Frank) and Irene Houghton (Gordon).

Doris spent most of her young life in Forest, Ontario.  She had many fond memories of Forest and it’s where she met and married Ed before moving to Saskatchewan to start their married life.  Doris received her degree in Psychology from University of Waterloo and she practiced as a psychologist in both Saskatchewan and Ontario.

Special thanks to the Heritage House staff for all the great care mom received while at the Home.

A Memorial Service to celebrate Doris’s life will be held at Church of the Holy Saviour, 33 Allen St. E. Waterloo on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Victor Kischak officiating. Reception to follow in the church hall.

Interment will take place at a later date.
