Obituary of Ruth Margaret Schnider

Ruth passed away peacefully, after a brief illness, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital on Thursday, March 15, 2018, in her 98th year.

Loving mother of Brian Schnider, Judy Bray and husband Barry, and Dr. Denise Schnider. Caring grandmother to Kim Taylor (Rich) and Brian Schnider Jr. (Jenn). Proud great-grandmother of Brileigh and Hannah Taylor, Devin, Samantha, Lexie, and Mackenzie Schnider. Dear sister of Carl Miller and sister-in-law to John Schnider and Hilda Schneider.

Predeceased by her husband Carl Schnider, daughter-in-law Leanne Schnider, sister-in-law Viola Miller, and parents Fred and Laura Miller.

Ruth volunteered for 25 years in the tuck shop at Sunnyside Home in Kitchener, was a member of the senior ladies bowling league at Towne Bowl in Kitchener bowling until age 95, and was the Blue Jays No. 1 fan.

Ruth’s family will receive relatives and friends at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Sunday, March 18, 2018 from 1-4 p.m. and on Monday, March 19, 2018 from 1-1:45 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Monday at 2 p.m. A reception will immediately follow the funeral service in the funeral home’s Fireside Room. Interment at St. James Lutheran Cemetery, Elmira at a later date.
