Stephen, Jonathan and Heidi - I wish I were able to be there to give you my condolences in person. Your mom and your dad both had a profound influence on me growing up. Their service to the young people of K-W was a great model for many of us, and I feel so fortunate to have known them. Thank you for sharing them with us.
I managed to connect with your mom (always Mrs. V. to me) when I was home on a visit about 15 years ago, and then again after her stroke. I hope she knew how fondly I remembered her.
Please know there's a corner of Nova Scotia that will be there in spirit as you say goodbye to your terrific mom.

I had the great pleasure of working with Louise at KW Oktoberfest and a few stints volunteering with Heart and Stroke. She was such a joy to be around. The kindest, sweetest woman I've ever met. I have fond memories that I will cherish always. She will be missed.
