Obituary of Vera Weber
Passed away suddenly on Sunday, March 18, 2018 in her 95th year at the Grand River Hospital in Kitchener.
Vera was a resident of Parkwood Mennonite Home along with her late husband George. They farmed all their lives in the Waterloo area and were faithful members of Erb St. Mennonite Church. Vera gave her time as a passionate volunteer with the Mennonite Relief Sale providing baked goods and was also an avid quilter.
Loving wife of the late George Roy Weber (March 6, 2012). Dear mother of Ron and his wife Mary of Palmerston, Bruce and his wife Dale of Mennonite Corners; mother of the late Joan Weber (March 20, 1998) and grandma of the late Isaac Weber (June 28, 1989). Grandma to Janelle (Tim) Burnham, Tavis (Heidi Brubacher) Weber, Carrie (Jeff) Klemp, Andrew (Erin) Weber, Josh (Jill) Weber, Tessa (Christian) Hafemann. Great grandma to Eden, Violet, Jonah, Laurel, Ellie, Madeline, Elizabeth, Connor, Keegan, Bree, Cora, Emma, Madison, Landon and Jenson. Also survived by her brother Clare Martin.
Predeceased by her sister Erma Shantz, brother Mervin Martin and sister-in-law Ellen Martin.
The Weber family will receive relatives and friends at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Friday, March 23, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-9 pm. Interment will take place on Saturday, March 24, 2018, 1:30 p.m. at Erb St. Mennonite Cemetery. The funeral service to celebrate Vera's life and faith will follow on Saturday, March 24 at 3 p.m. at Erb St. Mennonite Church 131 Erb St. W., Waterloo. Reception in the church hall.
