Obituary of John Joseph Kiss

Passed away on Sunday, March 18, 2018 at St. Mary’s General Hospital in his 91st year. 

Loving husband of the late Francisca Kiss (nee Stil). 

John was a member of St. Teresa Roman Catholic Church in Kitchener. 

Survived by his sister Elizabeth Parker, brother-in-law Ted (Lynne) Stil, nieces Linda (Don) McAuslan, Mary Ann Kiss, Kathy (Ray) Lemieux, Jeanette Nuxoll and her daughter Christine Nuxoll; nephews Brian (Tara) Stil and their children Jasmine and Gavin Stil, Ron (Gail) Kuss, Michael Stil and Mathew Kiss. Lovingly remembered by his numerous relatives in Holland.  

Predeceased by his parents Joseph and Maria Kiss (Heber), brother Matthew Kiss, sisters Mary Nuxoll (Kiss) and Eva Kiss; niece Rosemary Lovejoy (Nuxoll), Nora Ortbach (Parker) and nephew Richard Nuxoll.  

John leaves behind his faithful companion cockatiel “Charlie”. He was a master bricklayer with Able Masonry, Ball Brothers and Dunkers Construction. John loved boating, fishing, ski dooing at his cottage on Lake Simcoe.

Visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Thursday, March 22, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will take place at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 23, 2018 at St. Teresa Roman Catholic Church, 44 Leonard St., Kitchener with Fr. Brendan McGrath as Celebrant. Reception will follow the service with interment at Mount Hope Cemetery, Kitchener at 2pm.
