Obituary of Michael John West

It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Michael on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at Grand River Regional Hospital, at the age of 59; after a battle with esophageal cancer.

Beloved husband and best friend of Carol Ann West for 26 years.  Loving father of Selena, Laura, Katherine and James.  Cherished granddaughter Claire Nutt.  Will be lovingly remembered by his father Derek West (the late Barbara West); brother of Sandra, Christopher, Simon and Robin.

Friends are invited to share their memories of Michael with his family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Thursday May 3, 2018 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The memorial reception to celebrate Michael’s life will be held in the Fireside Reception Room of the funeral home on Friday May 4, 2018 from 1 – 3 p.m. with remarks at 1:30 p.m.

To honour Michael’s spirit, feel free to arrive with your favourite Hawaiian shirt and Converse shoes.
