Obituary of Joan Evelyn Freer

Joan Freer passed away on Monday April 30, 2018 at the age of 95. She was the wife of the late Arthur Freer (2012). Joan is lovingly remembered by her daughter Susan (Victor) Laurin and son Paul (Joanne) Freer. Joan is remembered by her 8 Grandchildren Chris (Jane), Eric (Helen), Robert (Maggie), Michael (Jen), Katie (John), Kyle (Sylvia), Alana (Elijah), Marisa (Kevin) and 9 great grandchildren, Penny, Edward, Violet, Alex, Hudson, Eleanor, Ollie, Charlie, Madeline. Twin sister to Vera Jordyn of New Zealand, David Bottom of England and predeceased by her brothers Eric Bolton and Peter Bottom of England who she will now join, along with all of her loved ones that went before her. A memorial celebration will be held in Ayr, Ontario Saturday May 12 from 11:30 to 2:00 with a sharing of memories at noon and refreshments served afterwards. Joan's family is so thankful that her final years were spent being so well cared for at the Village at University Gates where the staff and Dr. Milligan were always helpful, caring and considerate and kept us apprised of Mum's car and condition. As an expression of sympathy donations can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Canadian National Institute of the Blind.
