Obituary of Richard Charles Rooke

Passed away on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at the Toronto General Hospital.

Richard was born in London, England on April 2, 1942. He was a retired English teacher, member of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, member of the Cold Mountain Tai Chi Club, a stamp collector, very knowledgeable book collector and a writer of poetry.

Loving husband of Betty Anne Rooke (nee McCall). Brother of David (Denise) Rooke, Robin (Mandy) Rooke and Kaarina (Sheldon) Howard.

Friends and relatives are invited to share their memories of Richard with his family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Memorial Service to celebrate his life will take place at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church 54 Queen St. N., Kitchener at 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 14, 2018. Reception to follow in the church hall.
