Dear Alex, Cathy, Fran, Peggy, Patsy and John, You are all in our thoughts and prayers. I am with you in spirit in your sorrow. I pray that soon your grief will be replaced with peace knowing your Mom and Dad are finally together. The Silver Seven are united once again. It makes me miss our Family Picnics even more! As a little girl your parents always made me feel at home. I fondly remember staying with you while Mom & Dad were away. Your Dad made me laugh and your Mom comforted me when I was homesick and made me feel so grown up. Over my married life your Mom was always interested in my family, always asking how and where they were. She greeted each of us as if she saw us regularly. You are right, her family is her true joy, even her extended family ... I felt it each time I saw her! I will be thinking of you tomorrow as you celebrate her life. Dear Black Family. My mother Jane Sullivan (Dalziel), spoke fondly of your mother.I too recall your mother as kind and caring. I am sorry for your loss. As a child I remember joining the Black family on family gatherings. I believe many of us watched as Neil Armstrong took the first walk on the moon from the home of the Greenhills. I particular remember the twins Peggy & Patsy. With my siblings I send our condolences to the family. I am glad to know that Helen Cox and Cathy Greenhill will attend the viewing. I remember Peggy as a gracious, open hearted yet patient cousin. She was kind to me when I lived in Waterloo during University, and I always look forward to bumping into her whenever the relatives gathered on our side. She’s left behind a wonderful family, and to each of you I say I’m sorry your mom, Or grandma didn’t get exactly to live 100 years, But in fact maybe it’s always a better story at 99 years. May we all be so lucky .
