Obituary of Beverley Ann Weiss

Passed away peacefully at the age of 75 on August 16, 2018, at Hospice Wellington, with her loving daughter Cathy by her side. Bev had a real zest for life, despite all of her challenges. She will be dearly missed by her daughter Cathy, her son-in-law Scott Harrison, her dear friend and long-time companion Bob Krahn and her buddies Bear and Bo J.

 

Bev was an artist who loved nature, the outdoors, animals and her cottage at Franceville on Georgian Bay.

 

Survived by her son Don and her sisters Kathy Johnstone and Shirley Simons.

 

Predeceased by her husband Lorman and her sister Joan Murray.

 

Bev was a dedicated volunteer for many years at the KW Humane Society and was very honored to be named volunteer of the year for 2017. Bev was also a long-time employee at the Ontario Seed Company in Waterloo.

 

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to all of the health-care providers involved in Bev’s care at Grand River Hospital, Guelph General Hospital and Hospice Wellington. Special thanks to Dr. Gartner and Lisa Swartz for their years of care and respect.

                                 

Friends are invited to share their memories of Bev with her family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 from 12:00-1:45.  A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow. A private family burial to take place.
