Skip and Gus , I am truly sorry for your loss. The only condolence I can offer is to say how truly Crissy was loved by everyone she knew. She had a sincere and caring heart; making anyone she met feel special and important. I lost touch with Crissy after your move to Kitchener/ Waterloo and our various moves but I never forgot the fun we had together at Octoberfest or the way she was there for me when I desperately needed a comforting friend. .Crissy's chuckle will always linger in my mind. Gus and Skip - Brent and I are deeply sorry to learn of Chris' passing. Her wonderful smile and warm personality will never be forgotten. I first met Cris many years ago when she was a student at Confederation College in Dryden. She was such a positive influence in the classroom and everyone loved her. When Gus and Brent were growing up, your home was a second home to Brent and he loved spending time with all of you. Such a sad loss to read about Cris last night. Reading through the messages from friends I can see Cris was the same person as when she worked with me at the Dryden Safeway.Always customer oriented , always doing her share of the work load and always, always a huge smile on her face.Skip/Gus you picked the perfect picture.That is exactly how I remembered her.It seems so long ago now when you look back as Gus was pretty young at that time.I have fond memories of the Dryden Safeway, mostly because I had the privilege of working with many fun and decent people like Cris. Dear Skip and Gus so sorry about your loss. I had to pleasure of working with Cris for 18 years. She was a beautiful soul inside and out. She was not only a co-worker but when you work with someone for so long they become a friend. I will really miss those hugs she always gave everyone. Our chats about different things like family, recipes, you sending me something on Facebook just because you thought of me and thought I would like it. Crissy was my life saver at HD when I was in Customer Service, she invited me for yummy meals, and we shared many stories and laughs. It was so nice to visit her home, and hug Pookie, and simply feel at ease. My heart goes out to Skip and Gus, and all her (our) friends and co-workers.

Along with countless others, I was lucky enough to know Crissy as my “Home Depot Mom”. She was a beautiful person inside and out and always had a kind word or shoulder to cry on. She would know just when you needed a home-cooked meal and a sleepover away from campus. It has been quite a few years since I left Waterloo but we stayed connected through Facebook and Crissy never failed to leave kind and meaningful messages throughout all the good times and bad. My sincerest condolences to Skip and Gus and the rest of her family and friends. She will be fondly remembered.

I am writing from Saskatchewan. I worked with Crissy at the Waterloo Home Depot and I immediately trusted her and leaned on her for love and support in a very hard time in my life. I remember fondly and vividly my time spent with her and Gianna. They both had a hand in raising me. Making me better, Speaking on Crissy. She was my home depot mom I remember her voice and her laugh. She was amazing. She made me a better person. Helped me heal and helping me feel worth. I have always been blessed by her and her family. Years later, I found myself in Northern Saskatchewan and was privileged and honored to work with her Husband Skip and Son August. My life was blessed by them and ultimately her. I remember calling her and telling her to guess where I was and with whom i had just met: SKIP! wonderful memories. Having tea with her. Suppers Staying at the house and visiting. Her door and her heart were always open. She touched so many lives. Hearts are so sad to lose her. My love to you Skip and August. My heart goes out to you all. Words are limited to describe all I want to express. As gianna just emailed me and also said that I had gained an angel who will watch over me. I truly believe that. Love you Crissy.
