Mrs. Harrigan was my grade one and two teacher! I credit my reading and writing abilities to her. In fact, I went on to become a teacher myself. I can still see Mrs. Harrigan with the phonics chart while we went over and over and over those sounds until we could do them in our sleep! Another memory I share with my students today is the amount of writing our grade one/two teacher could get out of us. I would suggest she is the best teacher of those grades I have witnessed throughout my career and I had Mrs. Harrigan in 1973/74. I have thought of you often Mrs. Harrigan. Thank you for everything. Sleep well

Mrs.Harrigan was my favourite teacher at Monsignor William Gleason school. As a grade 1 child I thought she was so pretty and kind. I’ve thought about her often over the years and her memory always brings a smile to my face. She was a great role model for children. My condolences to her family on the loss of this great lady.
