Obituary of Pauline Jane Dubois

We lost a life of the party on November 25, 2018, when Pauline Dubois passed away after a brief but courageous battle against cancer at the age of 60.

Pauline’s spirit lives on in her husband, Dave Blair; her children, Alex (Ashley) Kowalchuk and Kate Kowalchuk; and her grandchildren, Colby and Evan Kowalchuk. Her siblings, Diane (Ken) Carter, Dave (Heather) Dubois and Margaret (Gary) Hedges; her in-laws, Marsha Dubois, Marianne (Gary) Blair, Andrew Blair and Mary (Ted) Blair-Hofer; and her many nieces, nephews and friends will remember her always. She joins her parents, Paul and Florence Dubois; her brother Don Dubois; and her father-in-law, Ron Blair, in the great unknown, and they are no doubt having a great time causing trouble wherever that may be.

Pauline worked as legal assistant in various law offices over the last 40 years, most recently in the legal department at the Region of Waterloo.

Pauline’s passion and zest for life made the lives of everyone she knew brighter. Her contagious laugh and sense of humour will be missed, but never forgotten. She taught us to make the most of the days we have, tell the people you care about that you love them, make time for family and friends, and never miss a chance to make a lasting impression.
