Obituary of Elizabeth Schumacher

On Tuesday, November 27 2018 at Grand River Hospital Liz died just as she lived life; with strength, courage, humour and on her own terms. 

Liz will be watching over her daughters Krista MacVicar (Cheryl MacDonald) and Jessie MacVicar (David Mahon) and their father Dale MacVicar. The light of Liz's life, granddaughter Mali Keighan, will always feel the love of her Grammie. Liz now joins her parents Kurt and Heidi (nee Baer) Schumacher and her little brother Joe Schumacher. 

Liz worked in Long Term Care for 35 years. She worked passionately to ensure her residents had dignity in dying. 

She lived life with intention and purpose; each moment felt fully with gratitude. Her girls were her life, her pride and her greatest joy.

Her heart lives on forever with her girls but her soul belongs to the waters of Georgian Bay.

A private soirée in celebration of her life will be held at a later date in Owen Sound.
