With heavy hearts we say “so long for now” to our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Monica passed away on Friday, December 7, 2018 at The Westmount, at the age of 94 and a half.
Cherished wife of the late Thomas Joseph Buckle (2002), loving mother to
Cecilia Grace, Alida and Fred Mitchell, Tom Buckle, Doug and Joy Buckle, Elizabeth De Silva, she was proud of her granchildren, Shane Grace, Bryan Grace, Ryan Buckle, Edward Buckle, Michael Buckle, Amy De Silva, Dylan De Silva. Also survived by 11 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Sadly missed by Sisters, Carmel Mahoney, Shirley Estey, brother-in-Law Edward Dutka. Predeceased by parents Wilmore and Leola Dunn (Sutherland), brothers, Jim, Lawrence and Martin Dunn, sisters, Rosemary Slavik, Leola Dutka and Joan Smith.
Monica was born in Red Bank NB and was the eldest of nine children. She was a founding member of the former Sacred Heart Altar and Rosary Society, a long-time member of St Teresa’s and then St Francis’s C.W.L.

Friends are invited to share their memories of Monica with her family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Francis of Assisi RC Church, 49 Blueridge Ave., Kitchener on Wednesday, December 12 at 11:00 am with the Rev. Tim Uniac, CR as Celebrant. Reception in the Parish Hall and Interment will take place at Mount Hope Cemetery.
