Obituary of Jeannine Wilcox

Jeannine passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, at Grand River Hospital, Kitchener on Friday, December 7, 2018 at the age of 84.

 

Predeceased by her dearest husband Jim.  Loving mother of Carol Wilcox and her husband Dr. Savvas Damaskinos, and cherished grandmother of Michael and James.  Jeannine is lovingly remembered by her many brothers (Emile, France, Louis, Roger, Bob), and sisters (Annette, Shirley, Diane, Gloria), and many nieces and nephews.

 

Predeceased by her beloved sister Lina.

 

Jeannine was born in Rogersville, New Brunswick, and spent most of her adult life in Saint John.  An artist and a very proud Acadian, Jeannine worked in the retail sector in Saint John and was active as a community volunteer.  She will be remembered for her wisdom, her kindness, her joie de vivre, and her ability to inspire and uplift those who knew her.  Jeannine was everyone’s sweetheart.

 

Cremation will take place in Kitchener.  Funeral mass and interment in New Brunswick will be scheduled at a later date.
