GUZIK, Natalie (nee Urycki)

Peacefully, in the presence of family and staff at Stirling Heights Long Term Care, Cambridge, Thursday, December 27, 2018, age 91 years.

Loving mother of Rick (Rhonda) of Kitchener, Don (Kathy) of Florenceville, NB, Linda of Waterloo, Larry of Kitchener.  Sadly missed by grandchildren Jon (Heather) Brnjas, Elysia Guzik (Jason Shim), Matt (Angela) Brnjas, Chris (Rachel E.) Brnjas, Mike (Bailey) Brnjas, Sarah Brnjas, Taryn Guzik, Tim Brnjas, Rachel A. Brnjas, Rebekah Brnjas, Laura Guzik and great grandchildren James, Grace, Isaac, Malachi, Levi. 

Predeceased by husband, John Anthony Guzik, and parents, Walter and Josephine Urycki. 

An amazing cook and homemaker, reliable recital supporter and taxi driver, organized secretary, avid Blue Jays fan, talented seamstress and artist, Natalie was hospitable, selfless, patient, prayerful, wise, and had a great sense of humour.  May 1, 2012, a massive stroke paralyzed her body, ending her ability to speak, email, or write in her beautiful penmanship.  Her love of God and people transcended her suffering, touching lives with her warmth and compassionate presence: “Sitting with her was like sitting with a candle and soft music:  calm and that everything was going to be ok.” 

Friends are invited to share their memories of Natalie with her family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Thursday, January 3, 2019 from 1 – 2 p.m. A service will follow at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home. Reception to follow.
