Obituary of David James Hallman

Dave passed away at St. Mary’s Hospital in Kitchener with his family by his side after a courageous battle with liposarcoma.
Dave is lovingly remembered by his mother Marjorie Hallman, his sister Sheri Tease and her husband Charlie, nephew Steven Tease and his wife Brittany and niece Jennifer Dobrint and her husband Jeromy. Dave is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his father Terry Hallman in 2003 and his grandparents Hubert and Louise Feeney, Madeline Hallman and special great-aunt Mary Ryan.

Dave was one of the seven founders of Septimatech Group Inc. and worked there in various sales capacities for 10 years. Subsequent to that he worked in furniture sales at a number of companies in both Kitchener and London, retired in 2017.

Dave was a sports enthusiast, loved people, made friends easily and had many true and loyal friends over his lifetime. In more recent years he was often seen alongside his canine sidekick Willy. 

Dave was a very intelligent man who always chose to live life on his own terms - and he dictated them as best he could while going through any challenges he encountered, and especially while fighting liposarcoma. He travelled extensively during his career with Septimatech and chose to spend the last several months travelling with friends as much as he could. The family would like to thank all the friends and medical personnel that have supported him through this battle. 

Friends are invited to share their memories of Dave with his family during memorial visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, on Saturday, January 5, 2019 from 3 – 6 p.m. A Celebration of Life will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Sunday, January 6, 2019 at 2 p.m., a reception will immediately follow in the Fireside Reception Room of the funeral home. Cremation has taken place and a private family interment was held at Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo.
