To Roy and family...I was sad to hear of Enid's passing. She was a lovely, very kind woman with a passionate heart for God and His children. I remember when neither my husband nor I could manage landscaping at our home in order to get it ready to sell...we both had physical limitations at the time. After a call out to the congregation at Glen Acres, she was the only person who came to help. We had a GREAT one on one visit after our bit of work, and I so appreciated her help and humour. She will be missed by many. Having not visited with Enid in a few years since our move, I can honestly say that this is a time where I also feel sad that I didn't get together with Enid more often.

Enid was truly another parent in my life. Her ever cheerful encouragement and affirmation meant the world to me. I count myself blessed to share life with the dear Poproski family, and know Enid is among the "great cloud of witnesses" continuing to cheer us on from heaven.
One of my dearest memories of Enid is a simple one, as a first time camper at Hermosa around 1979. She drove me home in their big family station wagon after a life-changing week at camp. Hermosa perhaps has few greater champions than Enid and Roy. It is a special place to the Poproskis, my family and numerous others. It's where I met Jesus in my heart, and Enid showed His love through her life and attitude. This little memory represents those of countless others to whom Enid extended hospitality and kindness.
I found Enid to be ahead of her time when it comes to church life. She was a thoughtful "yes" person, willing to consider new ideas or practices through the lens of a faithful, mature Christian. This perspective is sometimes unique, and I'm grateful for Enid's modeling in that regard. I will try to emulate this for the remainder of my life.

On behalf of the Ladds family, your old behind the house neighbours from Queen's Blvd, please accept our most sincere condolences. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.
I don't remember the last time I saw Enid; but I certainly have many very fond memories of her. She always made me feel more than welcome at your Garden Ave home where I spent a lot of time hanging out with Ian when we were young boys!
Sincerely,
John Ladds & family
