Dear members of the Lyons family,
I was saddened to hear the passing of your dear Mom, Mary. I remember her as a faithful parishioner at St. Francis, together with your Dad. It was always nice to see you coming together to Mass as a family. She always had a cheery greeting and a smile. I will offer my Mass for her tomorrow, here at our Generalate in Rome, and pray for all of you, that the consolation and peace of the Lord Jesus' resurrection will be yours. I also sent news of your Mom's passing to Patsy (Lewis) Fintak, who worked with your Mom at Grand River, and whom I received into the Church and celebrated her marriage at St. Francis. Your Mom's friendship was a support to her in her process of entering the Church. God bless you all!
