Obituary of Margaret Goodwin

Margaret passed peacefully at A.R. Goudie Long Term Care, Kitchener on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at the age of 92 years.

 

Born in Waterloo in 1926, daughter of the late Ernest and Beatrice Hancock.

 

Survived by daughter Barbara Coxson (Gary), brother William (Bill) Hancock and daughter-in-law Tanis Goodwin.  Also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

 

Predeceased by her husband Frederick L. Goodwin, son Bill Goodwin and one brother Harold Hancock.

 

Margaret worked at Waterloo Manufacturing for 25 years as one of the first female Industrial buyers in Ontario.  She was a long-time volunteer at the Waterloo and Kitchener Libraries and was an avid reader.  Margaret enjoyed the outdoors and her many family camping trips across North America.

 

Friends are invited to share their memories of Margaret with her family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Friday, February 8, 2019 from 12 – 12:45 p.m.  A funeral service will follow in the chapel of the funeral home at 1 p.m. with The Rev. Victor Kischak officiating.  Reception to follow at the funeral home.  A private family interment will take place at a later date.
