Obituary of John Leis

 

John passed away at the Juravinski Hospital on Jan. 28, 2019, at the age of 51, after a fierce battle with cancer.

 

Called too soon into eternity, he returns to the arms of his mother, Grace, and his father, Robert, as well as his infant sister, Barbara Ann. He will always be in the hearts of his sister, Brenda, brother Bob, nephews Eric and Andrew, great nephews Kaiden and Joshua and great-niece Samantha. Forever unforgotten by his wife Jackie and his daughter Jordiandra. He will also be missed by cousins, aunts and uncles, and family and friends in the K-W region as well as Montreal, where he lived for many years.

 

An athlete at KCI, John was an armchair sportsman who enjoyed football, hockey and soccer, good food and good company. And long winding drives on a Sunday afternoon. He had a playful sense of humour and a stubborn nature. He will be fondly remembered for his beautiful smile, his incredible strength and his big heart.

 

As per his wishes, there will be no service; he hoped only to be remembered.

So when you are together with family and friends, please raise a glass in John’s name.
