Obituary of Jean Marie Callfas
Jean went to be with her Lord and Saviour on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at the age of 92 years.
Devoted wife of the late Carl Callfas. Jean is survived by her loving daughter Becci (Brad), her brother Wayne (Eloise) King, sister-in-law Marion Empy as well as many nieces, nephews and special friends. Related through love and friendship, Jean is also survived by friends Bob (Evy) Crosby and their sons Timothy and Matthew as well as her extended family, Simon, Molly (Allan), Molly, Jasper, Lyle, Leah and Racheal.
Predeceased by her son Cameron (1996), sisters Blanche Bolender, Lorraine White, Betty Fisher, Joan Rose, Phyllis Reuter, and brothers Graham, Donald, Claire and Neil King.
Jean and her husband owned Camerons Flower Shop for several years until their retirement. They were devoted members of Calvary Memorial United Church. She was involved in the U.C.W., the Quilters and the Week of Guided Prayer. Jean lived a faith-filled life, praying daily and will be remembered as a kind, loving and patient person always seeing the good in others.
The family wishes to extend their thanks to the staff at the Village of University Gates as well as Luther Village Sunshine Centre and Jean’s visiting companion Lisa.
Friends are invited to share their memories of Jean with her family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, on Sunday, February 10, 2019 from 2-5 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Calvary Memorial United Church, 91 Gruhn Street, Ktchener, on Monday, February 11 at 11:30 am. Reception to follow. Cremation and interment at Parkview Cemetery will follow at a later date.
