Obituary of Madeline Frieda Geffros
(nee Thuler)
Madeline passed away peacefully at Chartwell Westmount Long Term Care in Kitchener on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at the age of 91.
Predeceased by her beloved husband Glenn L. Geffros (2006). Much loved mother of Douglas (Brenda) Geffros, David Geffros, and Dennis (Sharon) Geffros. Grandma of Jennifer, Jonathan, Colleen, Alyssa, Lindsay, Andrew, Michael, Melissa, Kirk and Great-Grandma of Oliver, Eric, Ethan, Jasmine and Maria. Madeline is survived by her sisters Janet Fletcher and Marlyn Fraser. She will also be missed by her nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her parents Hans Thuler and Sarah (nee Underwood), brothers Alfred and Richard Thuler, sisters Anna Helm, Shirley McCutchen, and Theo Geffros, and grandson Corey.
Madeline loved horses and collected many, many, many items. She loved to make quilts, especially baby quilts, and also embroidered. She was a long time member of St. Michael’s RC Church in Waterloo.
Relatives and friends are invited to share their memories of Madeline with her family at Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Sunday, February 10, 2019 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with Parish Prayers at 8:30 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial in celebration of Madeline’s life will be held at St. Michael’s RC Church, 80 University Avenue West, Waterloo on Monday, February 11, 2019 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Frank Freitas officiating. Interment to follow in Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo. Reception in the Parish Hall.
