Obituary of Grace Suppiramaniam

Grace went to be with the Lord Jesus, surrounded by the love of family, at St. Mary’s General Hospital, Kitchener on Friday, February 8, 2019 at the blessed age of 100. 

She was born in Nunavil Jaffna and lived in Canada.

Loving eldest daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. N. A. Thambirajah.  Loving wife of the late Suppiramaniam.  Beloved mother of the late Karunananthan and Dr. Kirupananthan.  Loving mother-in-law of Raji and Madhu.  Loving cherished sister of the late Suntherarasa, the late Manoranjithamalar, Dr. Singarajah, the late Ponmany, Thurairajah (Sri Lanka), Ratnarajah, Ariagunarajah, Christabelle (Australia).  Sister-in-law of the late Rajeswary, the late Arulpragasam, Nesammah (Canada), the late Selvarasa, Lohini (Canada), Ratnambal (Sri Lanka), and the late Bala Selvanayagam.  Loving grandmother of Christine (Paulo) and Marcus (Kusala).  Beloved great-grandmother of Carson, Bennett, Jack, and Theodore.  Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews from around the world.

Grace trusted in the Lord Jesus and she cherished the Word of God.  She devoted her life to the service of her family.  Her greatest joy was reading the Bible, singing hymns, and spending time with the family.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son [Jesus], that whoever believes in Him [Jesus] will not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16.

Visitation will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Friday, February 15, 2019 from 6-8 p.m. with a service of celebration at 8 p.m.  Visitation will continue at First Baptist Church, 306 Erb St. W., Waterloo on Saturday, February 16, 2019 from 9:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. followed by the funeral service to be held in the church at 11 a.m., with Rev. Robert Snell officiating.  Interment will follow at Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo.
