Obituary of Edward Ziegler

Ziegler, Edward John

Passed away peacefully at Lanark Heights Long Term Care on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at the age 87 years.

Edward is survived by his son Scott, brother Lloyd (Carol) Ziegler, nephews Craig Ziegler and Joel Ziegler (Tara Hurley), Desmond O’Keefe (Rena), great-nephews Jake Ziegler, Ryan O’Keefe and Shayne O’Keefe as well as many other nieces and nephews. Also survived by his brothers and sisters-in-law Thomas Roche, Bill Roche, Mona O’Keefe, Clara (Rick) Seaward, Madonna McGrath and Rosella Roche.

Predeceased by his wife Anna (nee Roche) (2014), parents Norman Ziegler (1977) and Annetta (nee Heimpel) (1989).

Edward was a brewery worker. He will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humour that remained with him his entire life.

The family wishes to extend special thanks to the staff of Lanark Heights, Beechwood Manor, Warm Embrace and to Angela Shaw of Companion Services for Seniors for the loving care shown by them to Edward. 

Friends are invited to share their memories of Edward with his family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, on Saturday, February 23, 2019 from 1:00 pm – 1:45 pm.  The funeral service will follow in the chapel of the funeral home at 2:00 pm with Rev. Fred Ludolph officiating. Reception to follow in the Fireside Reception Room. Cremation will have taken place and interment will be held in the spring at Memory Gardens, Breslau.
