Zehr, Mary (nee Roes)

Peacefully, surrounded by her family, Mary went to be with her Lord on Monday, February 18, 2019 at Nithview Home, New Hamburg in her 95th year.

Loving wife of the late Roy Aldon Zehr (December 1, 2016).

Dear mother of Robert (Elizabeth), Brent (Erni), Connie, Lynda, Heather (Mark), Jennifer (Ron), by ten grandchildren Christopher (Liesa), Michael, Dhita (Jared), Rizki, Matthew (Maria), Rebekah, Seth, Thomas (Alex), Paige and Claire.

Also survived by her sister Florence Roes, brother Lloyd (Marion) Roes and a brother-in-law Melvin (Delphine) Zehr.

Mary was predeceased by her parents John and Barbara (Wagler) Roes, an infant son Michael Jonas Zehr and a sister Anna Mae.

Mary’s gentle and generous nurturing spirit will be forever remembered by her children, grandchildren and anyone of the many lives that she touched and blessed. Her steadfast faith in her Lord carried her through the difficult times of her life and she truly was the heart of her family.

Friends and relatives are invited to share their memories of Mary with her family during visitation on Thursday, February 21, 2019 from 6-9 p.m. at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home 171 King St. S., Waterloo.

Private family interment at Erb St. Mennonite Cemetery Friday morning.

The Memorial Service will be held at Erb St. Mennonite Church 131 Erb St. W., Waterloo at 11 a.m. on Friday, February 22, 2019. Reception will follow in the church hall.
