Jean and Dale were wonderful friends. Jean was a courageous warrior to the very end; through she lived with great physical limitations, she was a stalwart servant of Jesus along with Dale, reaching out to international scholars and friends. She was hospitable, pleasant and cheerful, doling out love and kindness. I was a recipient of this. She is now in the arms of Jesus her Lord. May the Lord give Dale comfort and peace in his grief. You will miss Jean, my friend, but we'll greet her again with Jesus. You are greatly loved!

Many lovely memories of Dale and Jean, always together, always very nice to be with, always doing something positive. Dale, Carrie, Cheryl and families, Pat and I have admired Jean's spiritual strength and physical energy as she has dealt with health challenges, all while maintaining a serenity, faith and interest in others over the latter years. Being in Jean's home was always a special experience. She could make people feel very special. And she became very special to many, too. Dale, you spoke of Jean saying, so near the end there in the hospital, "I just want to go home with you and sit by the fire and talk with you." That must be memorable. Instead she went to that other home to be with Jesus. You will one day have that conversation, of course, but as you spoke of your love for and great desire to care for and protect her, we know this loss is huge. Yet, there is a great hope and anticipation and we pray those will infuse your memories of a wonderful life with Jean.
