Obituary of Dean Evans

It is with broken hearts that we announce Dean’s passing, on Friday, March 29^th, 2019, at Grand River Hospital, Kitchener, surrounded by his loving family. He was 71 years of age.

Beloved husband of Carol, for forty-three years. Adored father of Kristy (d. December 1997); Lindsay Koka (Michael); and Blake (Melissa Bechtloff). Doting papa of Evie and Millie Koka. Cherished brother of Art Evans (Gayle), of Guelph. Also survived by his sister Charlene, as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Missed, as well, by his furry friend, Benji. Predeceased by his parents, Jack and Lottie Evans.

Dean was employed at Schneider Foods, in sales administration for thirty-eight years until his retirement in 2007. In his retirement, Dean enjoyed spending time outdoors, walking the trails, gardening, feeding the birds, golfing and above all else, spending time with his family.

A Celebration of Life, to honour Dean’s memory, will take place at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo on Saturday, April 27^th, 2019 from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. with remembrances at 1:00 p.m. There will be a private graveside service for the immediate family at Glen Allan Cemetery.
