Gellner, Jean Shirley (nee Letson)

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Shirley Gellner on Monday, April 1, 2019 at St Mary’s General Hospital, at the remarkable age of 90. 

Shirley was predeceased by the love of her life, John Gellner (2011) and will be missed by her loving children Mark (Melba), David, Stephen (Karen), Linda Leisk (Terry), grandchildren Alex, Bryan, Sean, Curtis and her best friend, and sister, Vivian Martin.  

Shirley was a proud nursing graduate from the class of 1951 from K-W Hospital where she worked at Scott Pavillon for more than 20 years. Shirley was an active member of St Peters Evangelical Lutheran Church congregation and a volunteer at the Freeport Hospital Gift shop for many years.

Friends and relatives are invited to share their memories of Shirley with her family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral home located at 171 King St S Waterloo on Thursday April 4, 2019 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm.  The Funeral Service will be held in the chapel of the Erb & Good Family Funeral home on Friday April 5, 2019 at 1130 am with Rev. Mark Ehlebracht (St Peters Evangelical Lutheran Church).  Reception will follow the service in the Fireside Reception Room with interment at St Peters Lutheran Cemetery, Kitchener
