Obituary of Jean Elizabeth Yule

Yule, Jean Elizabeth (nee Kabel)

Passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 10, 2019 in her 96th year. Beloved wife of Ian George Yule, who predeceased her in 1996. Will be sadly missed by sons Alistair(Janis), Cameron(Sharon) and daughter Heather, grandsons Harley and Spencer(Jenny) and great grandson Bentley. Will also be missed by Shirley Adams, Jordan Parker and Mackenzie Parker. Predeceased by her parents, Arthur and Hulda Kabel and brother John Edward “Jackie”, sister Mary Ann Martin, brother-in-law John Martin and daughter-in-law Caryl Paikin-Yule. Jean was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a graduate of the Hamilton General Hospital School of Nursing and practiced as an RN in Hamilton, Vancouver, New Hampshire and California. She returned to KW where she met Ian, married and raised her family. Jean loved family time at home and at the cottage in Port Elgin. Special thanks to Waterloo Wellington LHIN and the staff at Innisfree House for their compassionate care of our loved one. Visitation will be held in the Heather Room, St Andrews Presbyterian Church, 54 Queen St. N., Kitchener on Tuesday, April 16th from 6-9pm. Memorial service will be held at the church on Wednesday, April 17th at 11am with Rev. Greg Smith officiating. Cremation has taken place. Following the service, friends are invited to join the family in Iona Hall at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Andrews Presbyterian Church Bequest Fund or Innisfree House.
