Obituary of Rosemary Louise Woelfle
Passed away peacefully at home in Waterloo surrounded by family on Thursday, April 11, 2019 at the age of 87. Beloved wife of Conrad (Con) for 67 years, loving mother of Gary (deceased 2014), Cathy Dombrowski (Stephen) and treasured Grandma to Laurie.
Survived by sisters Betty Jane Forwell and Lou Ann Podmore (John) and many nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by sisters Connie Gordon, Patricia Browne, Gloria Ottman and brother William Hartman (Doris).
Rosemary worked in the office of S.S. Kresge for several years and then stayed home to start a family. She enjoyed bowling, shopping, time at the cottage playing cards and doing many crafts. She was artistic in everything she did. She especially enjoyed her greenhouse and growing flowers and vegetables so she could plant them in her children’s flower gardens. She always gave plants to family, friends and charities.
During her four and a half year battle with cancer she was able to stay in her home with the help of her daughter and the Care Partner Nursing/PSW teams. Rosemary’s family would like to especially thank Mary Ann Lorentz for her years of caring help.
Friends are invited to share their memories of Rosemary with her family during memorial visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, on Sunday, April 14, 2019 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.
A Memorial service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Monday, April 15, 2019 at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Phil Reilly officiating. Reception to follow in the fireside reception room of the funeral home. Cremation has taken place and a private family interment will be at a later date.
