Obituary of George James Nightingale
On April 14th 2019 passed away peacefully in his sleep, with his family by his side.
He was in his 94th year.
Survived and sadly missed by his daughter Brenda (S. Easter) and son Jamie. His grandchildren Julia
(S. Lockyear) Cheryl (D. Gren) Adam (Christine). Great grandchildren Cailin, Connor,
Melody, Cadence and Landon.
Dad lived a long full life and was loved and respected by many.
He will be greatly missed by his best friend Linda Dillion and his extended family Selina, Barb (S. Robertson) and Matt, grandchildren Amy, Crystal, Jamie Lee, Justin, Ross and Darin and 6 great grandchildren.
He is survived by his brothers Wayne (Mary) and Roy (Sue) Nightingale.
Also missed by many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded by his wife Christeen (1996), sons Leo (1977) Bruce (2010)
Dad enjoyed a good long life and wants to be remembered for his love of life. He does not want his
passing to be a sad occasion but to be remembered with joy and happiness.
To honor him and his wishes there will be no funeral. He will have a graveside service Saturday April 27, 2019 at 9:30 am at Parkview Cemetery on University Ave. in Waterloo.
Immediately following the service there will be a “Celebration of his life” at 365 Greenbrook Drive in Kitchener. Everyone is welcome. Refreshments will be served.
