To the Family & Friends of Dennis:
Please accept my deepest and belated sympathy for the loss you bore one month ago. My first encounter with Dennis took place in the Forest Hill T-Ball Association back in the late 70s and extended into the late 80s. We got to know each other as volunteer umpires for House League T-Ball in that Association and then we took our "talents" and employed them in the Canadian Open T-Ball Championships, the largest of its kind in Canada and perhaps North America. When T-Ball was replaced by Rookie Ball (the game that uses a pitching machine), Dennis decided it was time to leave the Association as T-Ball was all he wanted to do. We lived in the same neighbourhood so on occasions our paths would cross and more often than not it was when Dennis went for a walk. As I recall, Dennis had some major heart surgery followed by a general return to good heatlh.
I will always cherish our time together as umpires and still hold fond memories of a very close knit "band of brothers" who umpired for many years. Dennis was a stalwart, a good friend, a fine gentleman.
He shall be missed!
May the memories you have bring you Peace, Joy & Comfort the rest of your lives.
God Bless.
