Obituary of Evelyn Hope Hiemstra

With breaking hearts we released our baby girl, Evelyn Hope Hiemstra, straight into the arms of Jesus on Friday, May 3 at 9:13 p.m.

Forever part of our family, Evelyn was the beloved treasure of parents Kristyn and Mark, big sister Abby, and big brothers Zachary and Jayden.   She will be deeply missed by grandparents John and Christine Hiemstra, and Ken and Ruth Anne Breithaupt, as well as her many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Our deep gratitude to our midwifery team from Genesis Midwives, and the staff at Grand River Hospital for their sensitivity, skill and compassion.

Evelyn Hope’s time with us was devastatingly brief but our love for her is endless.

Visitation with the family will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, on Saturday, May 11 from 3:00 to 3:45 p.m. This will be followed by a Service of Grief and Celebration beginning at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel.

Family and friends are invited to share in a time of encouragement and comfort at the reception that follows.
