Obituary of Luke Anthony Bender

Born July 26, 1982, Luke passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2019 at Hamilton General Hospital after an illness of several months.

Beloved spouse of Amelia Burton.  Dad to two furbabies, Jasper and Elora.  Cherished son of Connie (nee Lebold) and Anthony (Tony) Bender.  Brother of Adam and his wife Megan.  Son-in-law of Vida Burton, Neil Burton and his partner Winnie Jorgensen, and brother-in-law to Rebecca.  Grandson of Loraine Bender and Eileen Lebold.  He will be greatly missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Predeceased by grandfathers Howard Bender and Ralph Lebold.

The family is very grateful for the continued support from Amelia and Luke’s community and co-workers at Home Hardware and the University of Waterloo.  The family would also like to extend their appreciation for the excellent care provided by the staff at Hamilton General Hospital.

Cremation has taken place.  A private family interment will follow at a later date.  Visitations will take place at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Thursday, May 16, 2019 from 1-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m.  A memorial service will be held at Waterloo North Mennonite Church, 100 Benjamin Rd., Waterloo on Monday, May 20, 2019 at 2 p.m.
