Obituary of Ruth Mary Elsasser
Passed away peacefully into the waiting arms of the Lord Jesus May 14, 2019 six days before her 93rd birthday.
Survived by loving children Sharon (Duane) Schultz, Janine (Bob) Schultz and Sheldon (Audrey Forrester) Elsasser. Also survived by her grandchildren Graeme Schultz, Melanie (Dan) Adkins, Scott Schultz, Lance Schultz, Jenna Schultz, Emily Elsasser, and Angela (Jonah) Shim. Also survived by siblings Irene Stockdale and John Steinmann.
Predeceased by her loving husband of 51 years George Elsasser (2003), siblings Norma Gerber, Nancy Roth and Clare Steinmann.
Ruth faithfully served the Lord through her life as a supportive pastor’s wife, mother, and grandmother with her gifts of loving service and hospitality. She loved to study the Bible and share her discoveries with different women’s Bible study groups.
Friends are invited to share their memories of Ruth with her family during memorial visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, on Monday, June 3, 2019 from 5-8 p.m.
A Memorial service will be held in the funeral home’s chapel, on Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Sharon Schultz officiating. Reception to follow.
