Obituary of Harry Langendoen
Oct. 15, 1937 to May 13, 2019
.... after a long good-bye Harry left quietly ...with his wife Corrie (Vander Kooij) at his side.
Caring father to John (Patti), Adrianna (Troy) Hanson, Lana Joy (Jeff 2008) Wierdsma, Sarah (Shaun) Barber.
Opa delighted in his grand-boys Joe (Jamie) [great-grandson Ethan], Justin (Megan), Steven (Kayla) Langendoen: Travis and Tyler (2015) Hanson, Jonathan Wierdsma.
Harry will be missed by his siblings; Mary (Sam) Vander Flier, Ike (Tess), Evert (2017) Douwina, Audrey (John) Van Dyk.
Remembered as a brother to the Vander Kooij family. Rita (Chris 1990) Bydevaate, Harry (Klaaske 2003) (Alma), Sara (John 2013) Veenstra, Pete (Leni), Audrey (Harry) Kruisselbrink, Margaret (Piet) Mostert, John (2017) Caroline, Chris (Lisa). Uncle to many nieces and nephews and the two special girls whose life he also helped shape, Sharon and Sophorn.
Harry touched many lives in his work as an automotive mechanic, as a teacher at Cameron Heights and Waterloo Oxford as well as through his music, volunteer activities, and the many sports he participated in. He showed his dedication to his Christianity and family by living his
faith.
A memorial service will be held at the Waterloo Christian Reformed Church, 209 Bearinger Road, Waterloo, on Friday June 7, 2019 at 1:30 p.m.
