Obituary of Richard Drapeau

Richard passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at the Innisfree House, at the age of 78, after a hard fight against cancer.

Beloved husband of Céline Beaulieu and father of Bernard (Sacramento Mateos Pérez) and Vincent (Tanya Tran), Richard will be also missed by his three grandchildren Justin, Chloé and Emma.

Richard worked his entire career as an administrator in Quebec’s Public Education system. In 2006, he moved in the KW region after retirement to live closer and get to know his three grandchildren. He also volunteered at the Association Francophone de Kitchener-Waterloo (AFKW) and the Centre Communautaire Francophone de Cambridge (CCFC), where he worked to establish a French library.

Richard’s family will receive relatives and friends from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo at www.erbgood.com or 519-745-8445.

His family would like to thank the staff of Innisfree House and Grand River Hospital for their care during the last months of his life.
