Obituary of Jozsef Halasz

Jozsef passed away suddenly at his home in Kitchener on Thursday, May 30, 2019 at the age of 84.

Predeceased by his wife Rozalia, parents Lajos and Franciska, and brother Ferencz.

Dearly loved father of Francine Leal and Gina Bragg-Smith and her husband Tim, Grandpa of Lindsay Leal, Sylvia Gerhard (Steve), Nicole Medland (Danny) and Great-Grandpa of Wyatt, Alistair, Audra, Dawson and Natalie.  Survived by his brother Lajos Halasz, sisters Iren Matyus and Terez Jacso and many nieces and nephews.

Jozsef will be missed as a vendor at flea markets.  He worked at Lear Seating Corporation for over 40 years.  Jozsef loved animals and left behind Ivy.

Visitation will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Monday, June 3, 2019 from 11 a.m. – 11:45 a.m.  The funeral service will be held at 12 noon in the Funeral Home Chapel with a reception to follow at the funeral home.  Cremation will follow with a private family interment.
