I am so sorry to hear of Verna's passing. For over three years at Lanark she always looked after my husband Ron bringing him chocolates and cans of Pepsi. She knit me and the kids many scarves. She would join us outside in the summer when she could, or sit with us in the Atrium. She spoke of her husband, children and grand children often with great fondness. She loved simple things and was a thoughtful lady. I will miss her. Any time I peel potatoes I will think of her, as she always asked to help me and would smile ear to ear and say 'I love to peel potatoes!'
My heart goes out to you all.
