Klein, Maria “Mary”

Passed away peacefully, following a brief illness, on June 12, 2019 at Trinity Village Long Term Care Centre.

Maria is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years, John, her children, Hilda (Walter) Janzen, Robert (Rosemary) Klein, Michael (Julie) Klein, David (Tonya), Klein, her grandchildren Kevin (Jodi), Krista (Pat), Derek (Krista), Andrea (Michael), Laura, Cameron (Cindy), Harrison (Kirsten), Sarah, Ella and Rachel as well as eight great-grandchildren.  Also survived by her sister Susan Frim and brothers Andrew (Rosemarie) Gellner and John Gellner. 

Predeceased by her parents Andreas and Susanna (nee Binder) Gellner, daughter-in-law Elizabeth Klein, grandson Connor and brother-in-law John Frim. 

Maria was a life-time member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, the Transylvania Club and a member of Ontario Saxon Hunters and Fishers. 

The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to the nurses and doctors of 5D South at Grand River Hospital, Dr. Donna Ward, Dr. Nicole Didyk, and the amazing staff at Trinity Village LTC, Walnut Grove. 

Friends are invited to share their memories of Maria with her family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, on Sunday, June 16, 2019 from 7-9 pm, and Monday, June 17 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. 

The funeral service will be held at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 49 Queen Street North, Kitchener on Tuesday, June 18 at 11:00 am with Rev. Mark Ehlebracht officiating.  Reception will follow at the Alpine Club. Interment at Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo
