Obituary of Teresa Lynn Bechtel

Teresa Lynn Bechtel passed away on Monday, June 10, 2019 at home in the loving arms of her family after a valiant battle with pancreatic cancer.

Beloved wife of 40 years and best friend of Ross Bechtel; loving mother of Angela and Ryan. She was predeceased by her mother Shirley Poore, her stepfather Wilfred Main, and her brother Ray Main. She will be missed by her brothers and sisters, Cathy Seed (Shawn), Karen Gilmour (Brian), Neil Main (Donna), Mary Main (Dan), Glen Main (Karen), and her sister-in-law Debbie Main. Teresa will also be missed by Ross’ brother Paul (Joyce) and sister Sandra Ulrich (Dan), her closest friend Michelle Haase as well as many nieces & nephews, cousins, aunts & uncles and her dogs, Willow & Bentley.

Teresa, a registered nurse, loved caring for premature infants in the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) for 35 years at Grand River Hospital

Teresa’s life will be celebrated on Saturday, June 22^nd in the Fellowship Hall at Stirling Avenue Mennonite Church, 57 Stirling Ave N., Kitchener, Ontario, at 3:30 p.m. for a time of sharing followed by a meal.

The family would like to express thanks to the Palliative Team of the Waterloo Wellington LHIN, for their care of Teresa in her last weeks of life.
