Obituary of Ronald Richardson

Passed away peacefully, Saturday June 15, 2019 at Innisfree Hospice, Kitchener in his 88^th year.

Beloved husband of Donna Marion Richardson for 63 wonderful years. (Predeceased June 9, 2014).

Loving Father to Steve Richardson (Vickie), Cindy Richardson (Pete Pisarchuk) and Janice Schmidt (Nelson). Special and beloved “Bamp” to grandchildren Katie (Eric Blais) and Michael Pisarchuk, Megan Schmidt and Jamie Paul.

Predeceased by his brother Daryl Richardson and sister Valerie Mitchell and also many good friends who passed before him.

Ron was proud of his Maritime roots and will fondly be remembered as “Frit” Richardson from “Rabbit Town” in Fredericton, New Brunswick.

Ron felt privileged to love every day of his career as a Sales Representative with Kraft General Foods. He received numerous awards for his dedication to excellent “customer service”. Ron would always remind everyone “if your job ever feels like work…quit!”. Ron enjoyed every moment for 33 years and retired in 1990.

As a volunteer coach with Kitchener Minor Hockey for 20 years, he inspired many young athletes to love and respect the game and “keep your stick on the ice!” He was acknowleged by the City of Kitchener for his exceptional commitment to youth in his community. A long-time member of Rockway Golf Course, Ron enjoyed many years golfing with his grandson Mike and other members of all ages. A true friend to many-having the ability to charm and find meaningful connections with everyone he met.

We will forever miss his many “Bampisms” and observations which were the highlights of his wonderful sense of humour. Rest in peace, Mom and Dad.  “Now –Together Forever.”

The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to his loving and faithful visitors Shirley, Sandra, Mary, his Goddaughter Debbie and his special niece Jean who lovingly held his hand and comforted him through his most recent journey. The family wishes to express their thanks to the loving caregivers and staff at Innisfree Hospice and at the Village of Winston Park.

Friends are invited to share their memories of Ronald with his family at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Friday, June 21 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.  A Memorial Service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Saturday, June 22, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. A reception will follow at the funeral home.
