Obituary of Clive Bentley Williams

Peacefully passed away at The Village at University Gates, Waterloo on Friday, June 21, 2019, at the age of 82 years. 

Beloved husband of Ruth Williams (nee McConnell).  Loving father of Ian of Vancouver, Richard & Shawnna of Kitchener and Deborah & Frank Rodin of Sarnia.  Cherished Papa of Reagan Williams, Jillian & Dave Playne, Joel Rodin, Zack, Alex & Sam Williams and two great grandchildren Clara & Lydia Playne. Survived by sisters-in-law Carolyn Readyhough and Beverley Watt and brother-in-law Jerry Dentinger as well as by many nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by his parents Clive and Phyllis Williams, his sister Nancy Williams, brother David Williams, daughter-in-law Dinah Williams, brothers-in-law James Readyhough and Harvey McConnell and sisters-in-law Marion Dentinger and Winnie MacDonald. 

Formerly of Arthur, Ontario, Clive was publisher of the Arthur Enterprise News for many years. 

Friends are invited to share their memories of Clive with his family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 from 7-9 p.m. and Thursday, June 27, 2019 from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the Memorial Service in the chapel of the Funeral Home at 11 am.  A reception will immediately follow in the Fireside Reception Room of the Funeral Home. Interment will be held Greenfield Cemetery, Arthur at a later date.
