Obituary of Rose Marie Le Blanc

Rose Marie passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, at The Village at University Gates, Waterloo on Monday, June 24, 2019 at the age of 90.

Rose Marie was predeceased by her beloved husband of 63 years, Gerard “Gerry” Le Blanc on October 15, 2016.  Loving mother of Lynne Sonser and her husband Frank and Kelly Fasan and her husband Ed.  Cherished Grandma to Chris (Emily), Sheena (Kyle), Jeff (Rebecca), Vince, Carmen and Great-Grandma to Noah, Luke, Ryker, Hudson, Willow, William and Harrison.  Dear sister of Anita Sernoski of Waterloo and Emery Fougere of Shediac.  Rose Marie will be missed by her many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by her parents Francis Fougere and Dina Petipas, sisters Alma Casey and Helene Sernoski, and brother Edward Fougere.

Rose Marie worked at the Air Force base in New Brunswick and cared for the family of Dr. Grainger.  She eventually worked at Arrow Shirts, Beaver Lumber on Park Street in Kitchener and then took care of her grandchildren.  Mom enjoyed bowling, took great pride in gardening, and LOVED her Bingo days at University Gates. Her family thoroughly enjoyed her Christmas cookie trays as mom loved her sweets.

She was a member of St. John’s Church and the Catholic Women’s League in Kitchener for many years.

Thank you to Rose’s University Gates family and especially the team on Matthews for their loving care and support during her 3 year stay. You are all angels.

Cremation has taken place and a private family celebration of life will be held.
