Jean (Dolson) Graham

Obituary of Jean (Dolson) Graham

They say you can tell who the farmers are in heaven,

they are the ones who want to go home.

At home now, in her eternal heaven in the wide-open acres of her farm by the river. Jeannie died peacefully in the loving arms of her daughter and granddaughter on Friday, July 12, 2019, at the age of 85 years.

Loving and devoted mother of two daughters Tammy and Lisa, and two sons David (Charlotte) and Steven (Deborah). Cherished Granny to Derek and Jenal, Christine (Chris) and Robert (Sandra), Jessie and Max, Melissa (Charlie), Dexter (Chelsey) and Teddy and Great Granny (GG) to William, Jade, Lilly, Emily, River and Everitt. Big sister of Wanda Duke. Jean is already missed by her dear friends at the farm as well as her wide circle of friends, coworkers and neighbours.

Predeceased by her beloved husband Paul Dolson (1965) and infant son (1954) and infant granddaughter (1998), her second husband Gordon Graham (2000), her parents Alvin and Beaulah (Swance) Wolfe, her siblings Donna and Ross and her dear, dear Granny Cooney (Ida May Fleet Swance).

Jean was born to the farm in Mitchell Ontario during the great depression. Her early years shaped her work ethic, fierce determination and grit, as well as her unwavering resolve to stake her claim and hold her ground with her home. After many years living in the city, on Waterloo Street, Jean realized her dream of purchasing a little piece of heaven in Winterbourne, where, she says, she spent the very best years of her life. These were the years of magnificent sunsets, fields of happy horses, the companionship of pets and the freedom that comes when surrounded by an abundance of glorious nature.

"Happy trails to you, until we meet again.

Happy trails to you, keep smiling until then.

Who cares about the clouds when we're together,

just sing a song and bring the sunny weather.

Happy trails to you, till we meet again.

Some trails are happy ones,

others are blue.

It's the way we ride the trail that counts.

Here's a happy one for you.

Happy trails to you ,....'till we meet again".
